[Daily Discovery] Citrine

Baltimore by way of DC dream-pop trio, Citrine, are one of those bands who, with just one listen, can invoke so much within the listener. Comprised of Kelci Smith, Galen Smith and Beau Cole, the band are getting ready to release their debut (and appropriately titled) EP, April, on April 22. If the two buzzworthy tracks, “Drum and a Drop,” and today’s spotlight, “This Fabric,” are any indication, this is going to be one explosive release.

The message within “This Fabric” stems from Smith’s Christian upbringing and a way to cut ties with things she was once afraid to write about. She’s no stranger to secular music – her brother, Josh Tillman is known as Father John Misty and her other brother Zach Tillman is best known for his work with Pearly Gate Music.
